So dates for next year's Farthing Party are very difficult.
I don't want to do it in early August again, because it was so hot, and also because this year I'll be in Britain in July which would mean coming straight back and doing it. I don't want to do it in late August because I'm going to San Antonio.
September is ALL JEWISH HOLIDAYS, more on that in a moment.
The first weekend in October is Z's birthday, which wouldn't be an insurmountable obstacle, except that PNH and TNH are GoHs at a con elsewhere and couldn't make it. The second weekend in October, Thanksgiving, overlaps with Viable Paradise, so we'd be missing the NHs and Jim and Debra. The third weekend in October, I'm going to Sweden.
So, let's look at September again.
First weekend is 6th-8th and 4th to 6th is Rosh Hashanah, I'm assuming that affects a whole lot of people.
Yom Kippur is 13th and 14th, so that's the second weekend out.
Sukkot is 18-25th -- the third weekend is 20-22nd. How many people who would want to come, couldn't make it that weekend? Please comment or email me.
Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah are 25-27th, and the fourth weekend is 27th-29th. How many people who would want to come couldn't make it that weekend? Please comment or email.
If I can't do it the third or fourth weekend in September, there probably isn't going to be a Farthing Party in 2013.
